Overview

Objective:
To summarize available data concerning reactive oxygen species in sperm physiology and male infertility.

Design:
Review article.

Setting:
Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacky University and University Hospital Olomouc.

Methods:
Compilation of published data from scientific literature.

Conclusions:
The article describes the importance of reactive oxygen species and their role in male reproductive health.
